For five years, Sofia Kanjee, little “Sofia Sunshine”, was the light of her family’s life.  In the spring of 2009, tragedy struck and the family found themselves rushing her to the Alberta Children's Hospital.  Sadly, despite the excellent care she received, Sofia did not survive.

Inspired by Sofia’s sweet spirit and a desire to support the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the third Annual Sunshine Gala will be held at the Westin Hotel in downtown Calgary.  Funds raised at this event will support the implementation of an Extracorporeal Life Support Program (ECLS), life saving technology that will further enhance the care provided by the Alberta Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

The evening promises to be a night to remember, and will include dinner, dancing, auctions and more!
