The Shaw Family

With children and families at the heart of our hospital, it is only fitting that they also drive the spirit of our Candy Cane Gala. Each year, an Honorary Family serves as special hosts and ambassadors for this fun-filled celebration.

We are pleased to announce that the Shaw family will be our Honorary Family for Candy Cane Gala 2011.

For over 15 years, the Shaws, Shaw Communications and their family of companies have been strong supporters of the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Their support has ranged from kid-friendly comforts to generous donations towards the building of our new hospital and strengthening our expertise in childhood cancer.

In addition to their personal and corporate contributions, Shaw-owned Global Television and Corus Radio have been incredible partners, using their airwaves to inspire broad-based community giving.

Notably, the Shaw family has also enthusiastically attended our Candy Cane Gala since its humble beginnings five years ago, making them excellent ambassadors for this event!
