Air Canada Foundation: A quarter century of hope, help and healing
Celebrating 26 years of saving and changing lives with the Alberta Children’s Hospital
Giving back to local children’s hospitals is more than just a donation strategy for Air Canada—it’s a value woven throughout the company’s corporate culture and reflected in the many diverse ways the Air Canada Foundation (ACF) has fuelled excellence in child health, research and family centred care since 1994.
Over the past 26 years, ACF has donated more than $1.2 million to help the kids and families who rely on the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Support the hospital has received directly, as well as through Children’s Miracle Network initiatives, has been invested in state-of-the-art equipment, family-centred programs and ground-breaking research.
The impacts of these investments are felt every day, especially in these unprecedented times. As families continue to experience the health, economic and social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, decades of support, like that from from ACF, has prepared hospital staff to manage the many new challenges they’re facing in keeping children and families as safe and healthy as possible.
Among other initiatives, ACF’s generosity has been felt through the Hospital Transportation Program, Matching Miles campaign, Every Bit Counts, event sponsorship, flight passes, and annual grants—all of which are transforming and advancing care.
Every dollar tells a story—an inspiring manifestation of hope, help and healing. We are incredibly grateful to ACF and its staff, customers and clients who have come together to ensure the very best care for kids at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
