Its hard to believe that it has been over 4 and a half years since Niall died. Deirdre and I, as well as Claire and Finn, have had some amazing support from the doctors, nurses & social worker that were there as they worked to save Niall's life in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and especially through the Grief Counselling and support at the Rotary Flames House which has been nothing short of amazing in helping us and other grieving parents/families try to figure out and adapt to the "new normal" of having a child in heaven.
This year we have been asked to talk about Niall and the support we have received from the Hospital and Rotary Flames House during the 2019 Caring for Kids Radiothon which is very exciting. Deirdre has met with their team and done a pre-recorded interview on the PICU that will be played during the radiothon all three days and then Deirdre and I will be interviewed live on Country 105 sometime between 8:00 and 9:00 MST on Thursday morning to talk about the support we have received since Niall died.
We are so lucky in Southern Alberta to have such an amazing facility and amazing staff at the Alberta Childrens Hospital that do such amazing work with such passion and care and it it well worth supporting.
Thankyou so much for your support,
John, Deirdre, Claire, Finn and Niall (in heaven)
