I am proud to be participating in the third annual RBC Race for the Kids in support of the Alberta Children's Hospital on Sunday, September 22. I will be hitting the pathways around the Glenmore Reservoir with hundreds of others in a fun family run to support child and adolescent mental health initiatives.
I am raising money for the Alberta Children's Hospital because they helped me a lot when I got sick with PANDAS last year, when I was 7.5 years old. PANDAS stands for Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcus. A strep infection caused inflammation in my brain, and made me very sick. I had to stay at the hospital for 2.5 weeks, and then I went back again for IVIG and therapy. I am doing much better now, and I want to help other sick kids!
I’m hoping you will support my fundraising efforts by making a donation! Together, we can Build the Centre, and Build Them Up!
Thank you in advance for your generous gift. I will keep you updated on my progress, and if you're encouraged by my efforts, please feel free to register and join me!
