Thanks to people like you, Hockey Marathon for the Kids was a HUGE success! The proceeds will support the most critically-ill
patients at the Alberta Children’s Hospital including children who are battling
cancer and those requiring care from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)!
For ten incredible days the entire community
believed in, supported and wrapped their arms around a group of forty
big-hearted guys and cheered with them as Team Hope and Team Cure made history.
In the end, they skated into the Guinness World Book of Records by playing
hockey for an unbelievable 246 hours straight!
Not only was hockey history
made but this incredible event helped leave a lasting legacy for kids and families who rely on
our hospital for specialized care. With support towards innovative cancer
research and life-saving programs and technology in PICU, our experts are
working to help children recover faster so they can get back to enjoying life
as a kid.
