Joggin' for a Noggin' - Fun Run
Joggin for a Noggin is a fundraising event to help send neurosurgery kids to camp. Joggin for a Noggin is a one day, halloween themed fun run. Kids and adults can register for a 1K trick-or- treat walk or a 5K run. Joggin for a Noggin registration fees, donations and sponsorships help to support the pediatric neurosurgery program, specifically by subsidising our neurosurgery families so the campers can attend Camp Everest South. With the money raised from last year's run, we will be able to help send 40 neurosurgery kids to camp this summer.
Camp Easter Seals created Camp Everest South for Neurosurgery kids ages 7-17 from the Alberta Children's Hospital. Camp Everest South, within Camp Easter Seals, is located in Kananaskis Country, near Bragg Creek, Alberta. Neurosurgery kids will be attending this camp on August 6-11, 2017.
For many neurosurgical kids, this is the only opportunity they will have to attend a summer camp. This week provides an amazing time to find a sense of belonging among peers while experiencing all the joys of summer camp. Through a variety of outdoor adventure fun kids come away with a new sense of self confidence and independence. We are proud to belong to a community that value giving all children infinite experiences, regardless of physical or mental ability.
