Our Festive Family & Friends guests will be welcomed into Hall E at 5:30 pm. Activities and treats for grown-ups and kids alike will be yours to enjoy!
Tickets are not required. When you arrive, please check in with our event ambassadors outside of Halls E&F where we’ll be happy to help direct you or answer any questions you might have.
Yes, we are happy to provide highchairs and boosters. In October, we’ll be collecting this information so we can be sure to have everything ready when you arrive on December 1.
Portions of both Circle of Care and the Spirit of Giving tables are eligible for charitable tax receipts, as are donations to Candy Cane Gala, which will be issued from the Foundation office and mailed to you via Canada Post.
Festive Friends & Family tables, raffle tickets and silent auction purchases are not eligible for tax receipts.
You’ll be welcomed by our staff and volunteers at registration and then you’ll set off to enjoy all that Candy Cane Gala has to offer!
Our magical KidZone is for everyone to explore and includes face painting, balloon animals, games, crafts, animal friends, pre-dinner snacks and fun galore! The silent auction items will be on display and ready for bidding, raffle tickets will be on sale, cash bars will be open, family photo stations will be ready to capture your memories and everyone will have a chance to enjoy each other’s company!
Shortly before 7:00 pm, everyone will gather in the dining room for a short, inspiring program followed by dinner service. We ask that everyone please remain at their tables to ensure safe and efficient dinner service for all our guests.
Following dinner, you can continue to bid on the auction, enjoy the KidZone and dance the night away on the family-friendly dance floor!
Yes. The BMO Centre is a nut-friendly facility, and no food items served at Candy Cane Gala contain nuts. We will request specific guest information in October in order that other accommodations, including vegan/vegetarian meals, can be made in advance.
Candy Cane Gala is a black-tie event, so now is your chance to dress up in your favourite seasonal finery and join us in our enchanted garden!
Raffle tickets will be available closer to the event – table hosts can watch their inboxes for the details!
The Candy Cane Gala auction site will open online at 6:00 pm on November 19, 2023. The auction is open to everyone so feel free to invite family, friends, and colleagues who may not be attending Candy Cane Gala to get in on the friendly competition – and support the kids at the hospital!
Donations are gratefully received on the same site, or you can visit our donation page anytime.
Please note that auction items will be distributed to winning bidders if they are in attendance at Candy Cane Gala. Otherwise, they will be available for pick up at the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation office (located on the second floor of the hospital) the week of December 4.
Please contact us if your plans change and if possible, we will do our best to accommodate.
