As the season comes to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every player, family, coach, team, and supporter who took part in Hockey Kids Helping Kids.

This season, Hockey Calgary teams showed what it truly means to live the core values of Hockey Calgary — demonstrating teamwork, leadership and compassion off and on the ice. Through their fundraising efforts, they raised more than $70,000!

Their dedication made an even bigger impact thanks to the incredible generosity of Keith and Sharon Boonstra who stepped forward to match funds raised by players, for a grand total of $120,000! These donations will support vital technology, programs, and research that give kids the best possible chance to heal, grow and dream.

Most importantly, everyone helped show kids and families at the Alberta Children’s Hospital that their community stands behind them. Thank you for making this season of Hockey Kids Helping Kids such a powerful success. Together, you truly make everything possible.

In keeping with Hockey Calgary’s core values, Hockey Kids Helping Kids is your team’s chance to show teamwork and leadership off the ice by supporting the 100,000 kids and families who rely on the Alberta Children’s Hospital every year. Team efforts fund state-of-the-art equipment, family-centred care programs and innovative research – ensuring kids receive the best care possible when they need it most.
