DESCRIPTION:Celebrating its 10th year in Calgary, the RBC Race for the Kids is a family-friendly day that includes a 6-km run along scenic pathways overlooking the Glenmore Reservoir, a pancake breakfast, and a full day of family fun. Registration includes a performance race T-shirt, a completion medal, all-day access to Heritage Park, kid-friendly entertainment, snacks and more (valued at more than $80)! Registrants can also choose to complete a shorter 1.7-km circuit inside the park – this is a favourite for families with little ones. We captured some great shots from 2025 — check them out.

Race Package Pick-Up
Remember, your RBC Race for the Kids T-shirt is your ‘ticket’ into Heritage Park on Race Day, so be sure to set aside some time to grab yours! You can choose from any of the three following days:

Heritage Park - (1900 Heritage Drive SW)

Thursday, Sept. 10: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Friday, Sept. 11: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Saturday, Sept. 12: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Meet us in the Railway Centre at Heritage Park in Heritage Plaza.

Out-of-towners — A very limited number of pick-ups can be accommodated on Race Day starting at 8:00 am. Please email us at events@achf.com before Sunday so we’re ready for you.

About the RBC Race for the Kids
Since it began in 2017, the RBC Race for the Kids has raised more than $4.1 million in support of the increasing number of kids in our community who need mental health resources. The race helped create Calgary\'s first community-based mental health centre for kids, The Summit, which opened its doors in the spring of 2023, and funds programs and research specific to youth mental health that will help kids now and for generations to come. Kids like Riley.

Riley\'s Story
At just 10 years old, Riley began struggling with his mental health. Sadly, his symptoms became so debilitating that he told his mom he didn’t want to die, but he didn’t know how to live. Thankfully, specialists from the Alberta Children’s Hospital and The Summit were able to help Riley get back to feeling like himself again. Now, he’s back to cracking jokes and making big plans for the future. Here’s mom, Donna.
