Through the generous support of our donor community, the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation catalyzes and mobilizes initiatives that advance child health, research and family centred care. We are currently committed to fund more than $300M in multi-year initiatives across a continuum that supports prevention and promotion, advancing care and care in the community.

Child Health Funding Program

We are committed to doing what is best for children and families in ways that truly have impact. We work in close collaboration with our key partners to co-develop new initiatives from the earliest stage. Our key partners include:

  • Alberta Children’s Hospital, Alberta Health Services
  • Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute/Child Health and Wellness Researchers, University of Calgary
  • Department of Pediatrics, Alberta Health Services and University of Calgary
  • Child and Adolescent Addiction, Mental Health and Psychiatry Program, Alberta Health Services, Calgary Zone
  • Child serving departments within Alberta Health Services and the University of Calgary
  • Child and family serving agencies in the community who work in partnership with one or more of our other key partners

Our co-development process is informed by strategic criteria, ensuring that the Child Health Funding Program supports initiatives that:

  • Advance the most strategic and high priority areas of child health
  • Are innovative and cutting-edge
  • Resonate with our donor community
  • Make a meaningful difference for children and families
