Sunshine Gala 2012 “There Is Fun To Be Done”
May 5

For five years, Sofia Kanjee, little “Sofia Sunshine”, was the light of her family’s life.  In the spring of 2009, tragedy struck and the family found themselves rushing her to the ACH.  Sadly, despite the excellent care she received, Sofia did not survive.

Inspired by Sofia’s sweet spirit and a desire to support the PICU, the third Annual Sunshine Gala will be held at the Westin Hotel in downtown Calgary.

2012 Oilympics Hockey Marathon
May 6 – 16

This May, Oilympics is aiming to have the World’s Longest Hockey game at the Chestermere Arena with proceeds going to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation!

The previous record is 243 hours and the goal is to hit 254 hours and become the new Guinness World Record holders!

This event is in honor of brave children like Diamond Marshall who is currently battling cancer at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
